Job Description:

The Content Director, Dining, is responsible for three main areas of content production in digital, print and events, for both editorial and commercial initiatives. The core responsibilities of the Content Director is to ensure the quality of Tatler Dining’s content platforms, including the website vertical, social media, monthly print pages, annual dining guide and awards, and signature events and experiences. In addition, the candidate will strategise for the product’s long term growth by seeking commercial and editorial opportunities, working across Editorial, Digital, Commercial and Marketing, and continuously evolve the brand’s content direction and relevant business models. The Content Director will oversee the team responsible for producing content for Tatler Dining website and social media and takes an active role in the commissioning, monitoring and editing process, as well as handling the budget and expenses for dining editorial. The Content Director will also be responsible for overseeing production of the annual Dining Guide and its related events and opportunities; flagship events such as Off Menu festival; and content relating to strategic partnerships with brands and clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Concepts and culinary curation of major culinary events both in HK and regionally, especially if they use regional culinary talents.
  • Build regional F&B related Branded Content ideas that can be shared across all markets.
  • Advising Dining Editorial Heads in each market on trends and in discussing major story arcs that they see affecting their markets.
  • Advising Dining Editorial Heads on tactics and trends to get more engagement and readers for digital stories.
  • Conceptualising, producing and promoting regional dining video concepts that can be monetised.
  • Commissioning, editing or writing at least 1 regional dining feature for print per month.
  • Commissioning and editing regional wine and drinks content that can be used by in-market teams, both print and digital.
  • Network in the industry and create dining community
  • Editorial coverage of our Dining Awards via social in video formats; digital platforms.
  • Curate concepts for Tatler Dining Guides or event concepts


Requirements:


  • Expertise and keen interest in F&B and Dining across Asia.
  • Resourcefulness and should possess a good database of contacts in industry.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in media organizations.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and a proven track-record of writing engaging, well-researched stories.
  • Experience managing, commissioning, editing, subbing, proofing.
  • Knoweledge of SEO and social media best practices, as well as experience using CMS, and analytics, email marketing and project management tools.
  • Self-motivated with excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • A team-player with an optimization-oriented approach and a positive attitude.
  • An interest in high society and luxury lifestyle in dining.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an independent and proactive work attitude.
  • An unwavering ability to meet deadlines, good time-management skills and a diligent outlook.
